We hope that everyone in the village will buy at least one share in the shop and encourage their friends, family & neighbours to do the same. And remember, that anyone over the age of 16 is eligible to purchase shares. [NOTE: the shares are not interest-bearing and are non-refundable.]
You’ll receive a certificate declaring you a paid up member of the Society. Members are entitled to attend and vote at meetings & at the AGM and as a member you can stand for election to the Management Committee helping guide & manage the shop operations.
You can get tax relief on your investment through the Enterprise Investment Scheme and you can buy as many £10 shares as you want. The more you buy, the more money we have to invest in the shop to the benefit of everyone.
You can also help our fundraising efforts at anytime by donating an amount to the shop. Every penny counts, as we are a “not for profit” operation, so any sum of money you can spare will help towards making this community venture a success for the village and its inhabitants.
